Hi, I’m Luisa (she/her/hers)
I am a queer trauma counsellor, art therapist, and artist offering services in Vancouver, BC. I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (#15812). I was born and raised in Medellín, Colombia and spent a long time living and learning in the United States. As an artist and art therapist, I utilize art making as a vehicle for me to distill my personal experiences by providing the space to dissect, analyze, and re-construct my understanding of them. My art process develops my capacity to be introspective and self-reflective, and informs my therapist identity. I am interested in issues surrounding femme-ness, sexuality, and aspects of difference and belonging particularly race, gender, immigration, culture, ability, and mental heath.
When I’m outside the counselling room, I enjoy making art, riding my bike, drinking coffee, and eating ice cream. I enjoy re-watching movies and TV shows. I am a Pisces and ENFJ.
Together we can explore issues and experiences that are getting in the way of your individual and collective healing.
